At Carblogger we have been testing various Michelin triple action car cleaning products. For the exterior we tried out the Wash&Wax first. The shampoo is fairly thick in its consistency, so only one or two capfuls is enough to wash a large family saloon. The wash &wax cut through the dirt and once rinsed off left a clean shiny finish, that also helps protect the bodywork.
The Michelin
Wheel Cleaner preformed well, once sprayed on and left for a few minutes you
could see the brake dust running off the wheels. A quick blast with the power
washer left the alloys free of brake dust and road grime. The high foaming formula is PH balanced for
safer use and less damage to wheels. It is also acid free to reduce marks in
the lacquer, minimise corrosion and is safe to use on various types of wheels.
Then it was onto the glass cleaner. The
triple action formula worked well on both inside and out, leaving no streaks or
smears. The alcohol free formula leaves no nasty after smell, which helps when
doing the inside of the car windows. It is also safe for tinted windows which
have become popular, with more car manufactures fitting them as standard.
We then
moved to the interior and tested the Michelin Dash&Trim cleaner. It removed all dust and fingerprints from the
inside of the vehicle as you would expect from most cleaners. What was
noticeable that after a few days’ use, the antistatic formula was working well,
by keeping the dust off the interior trim. The cleaner thankfully also does not
leave behind a horrible shiny greasy finish and is perfect
on plastic, carbon fibre, chrome, wood & rubber.
The last one was the tested was Michelin
leather Cleaner. This preformed well on our car seats although to be fair the
interior leather seats have not been heavily used or dirty. Once used on the
car seats it did leave the leather feeling refreshed, supple, and smelling
fresh. It will also will help to prevent cracking when using on a more regular
basis
Hey, Nice article. Really admired your information depth. In addition to your article, I am mostly cautious about my car's leather seat. Mostly when I am travelling with kids. You know it gets really messy when you travel with kids on your back seat and have food at their disposal. So getting more information about car leather cleaner is a plus for me. Anyway really loved your article. Will love to have more from you. Have a great day. Ciao
