The new Audi RS 5 Coupé made its debut at the Geneva Motor show with orders expected to open for this sub 4 second Gran Tursimo beast in May. The RS 5 new design is also expected to roll over to all the other RS models for the up and coming Audi range.
Looking at the front you
instantly notice the impressive air in-takes and the beautiful designed honeycomb
grill as well as the elegant styled Matrix LED headlights, although these are an added
option. Continue around the car you will spot the slightly swelled wheel arches
that come with 19-inch alloys as standard but you can spec it with the optional 20-inch wheels. At the rear is the familiar looking overall tail pipes, along with a
new RS designed diffuser, as well as a subtle boot lip spoiler, finishes of the rear of the car. Audi sport offers the RS sport suspension
with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), ceramic brakes and dynamic steering with
RS-specific tuning.

5 Coupé is superb as expected with Audi interiors, with some nice touches such as RS
sport seats with optional diamond stitching in Fine Nappa leather and the
sporty flat-bottomed RS multifunction steering wheel. Also there are
the new RS displays in the virtual cockpit, that provides a range of driver
information, add the optional MMI navigation plus with MMI touch which includes
the hardware module Audi connect, allows the new Audi RS 5 Coupé to connect to the
internet via LTE. Passengers will be able to go online with their mobile
devices via the Wi-Fi hotspot option, with the Audi smartphone interface making use
of both Apple car Play and Android Auto.
Under the bonnet is a new 2.9
TFSI bi-turbo produces 450PS and delivers 600 Nm (442.5
lb-ft) of torque. The power plant has been developed from the ground up
providing it with increase in power, now producing 450PS and peak torque of 600
Nm (442.5 lb-ft) – up 170 Nm (125.4 lb-ft) from the previous
model – is available across a wide band from 1,900 to 5,000 rpm. Now able to go
from 0 to 62mph in 3.9 seconds and with the optional dynamic package reaches a
top speed of 174mph.
