Ring GPS dash camera review

With the increase in dash cam popularity it is now becoming part of daily driving to record most of our journeys. The RBGDC200 by Ring Automotive is a stylish GPS dash camera that requires no professional installation. Its just plug and play, so once connected to a 12v power supply, it will automatically start to record as soon as the ignition is switched on.

There is a good amount of power cable supplied to run it around your windscreen and door pillars to help make a tidy install. The Ring Dash Cam is quite small compared to other ones on the market which gives you more options on where to position it on the windscreen, which is also helped by the adjustable suction mount provided.

The RBGDC200 provides HD quality recordings that preformed well in both daylight and night-time recordings with full 180 Resolution, and 140 degree wide angled lens.  You will not need to worry if you have enough memory space, as older files are automatically overwritten. This helps to ensure all your journeys are recorded uninterrupted-(important files can be locked for later viewing).

Another good addition is the built-in shock sensor which protects vital video evidence from being overwritten. You also have the benefit of a superb 2” screen for viewing footage and a a digital camera function, which allows you to take still photos, so if an incident has occurred you can take pictures for extra evidence. GPS tracking and software (included) allows you to see where you’ve driven – mapped out on Google maps

Overall this is a good Dash-Cam, that performed well when testing, and is suitable for both new to dash cams and those looking to upgrade their existing model. This should be put on your short list.
