Ring Automotive Daytime Running Lights Review

If you are looking to purchase a set of LED Daytime running lights, then our review of two different models from Ring automotive might help you in making your choice. The first model we looked at is called Lyra. These come with 18 super bright high intensity LED's per lamp.  The DRLs not only help provide you with extra safety and reduce the risk of an accident because of the increased visibility, but also ascetically very stylish

Another nice feature of the Lyra from Ring is The dual function. The LED lamp illuminates as soon as the engine is switched on and improves visibility during daylight hours. Then when sidelights are switched on, the LEDs automatically reduce in intensity, giving you a stylish look at night. The build quality is good with the rear of the lamp being made from strong moulded plastic and fixes to your vehicle with a sturdy metal bracket. The slim line design should also help to provide more flexibility on where to install them

The pack includes 2 x daytime running lamps each with 18 LED's, 2 x Fitting brackets, Wiring Kit, Full fitting Instructions.

The second Ring Daytime running lamps are called Aurora. What is instantly noticeable as soon as you unpack the lights is how well made they are. The outer casing in constructed from metal and the front lenses are made from glass. If you are in the hunt for a pair of robust DRL then I suggest these might be for you. The Aurora comes with 5 super bright LEDs per lamp and a fast fitting kit for automatic lights on function.

Both of the DRL from Ring automotive come supplied hooked up to a temporary battery pack. This allows you to test and ensure they are working before installing them, as well as to see how bright they are. Depending on where or how you mount them they are pretty easy to install.
