Ring Automotive Solar Power Charger Review

There are going to be occasions when we are not near a power output for a good period of time, it might be a camping trip, or hobby that takes us outdoors. At Carblogger we have been testing a 14w Solar Panel Charger from Ring Automotive. It comes with four small solar panels and dual USB Points that will charge your Smartphones, tablets, or if like me even your watch!

The Ring Solar Charger is a well designed product. The wrap around zipped case helps to protect the device as well as providing a storage pocket for your USB leads. When not in use the folding slim line design helps make it portable and user friendly.

During our test it performed great in sunlight, but it did struggle a little when in the shade to keep our devices charging. Due to the design of the attached outer case with built in hanging loops, helps when having to reposition it more directly in the Sun. Another great use we found for the Solar Charger, was to also use it to keep our power bank charged, then you always have the option of power even at night.

Overall if you are outdoors and away from mains power and want an option to keep your devices charged then this solar panel form Ring automotive is a good option. The lightweight and folding design makes it perfect to take along with you.
